Tuck & Roll

Ever see those video game commercials where the kid is dropping his grandma off somewhere? He flies around a corner, the door flies open, and he says, "Tuck and roll, Grandma. Tuck and roll!"

That was me yesterday.

Well, not really the falling out of a moving vehicle part.

N's friend was at the park with us yesterday. He looked like he was getting ready to take off running, so I asked if he was ready. He nodded yes and off we ran. That kid is FAST! But that is another topic. Right now we are talking about me... :D

The sand did not provide too much traction, but it was not terribly bad to run in. However, when I got to a small rise, my knee did not straighten. Instead it continued to bend, my foot began to slip, and I saw the ground coming up fast.

My hands went out. I performed a roll that would rival some that Captain James T. Krik performed.

Not only did I roll, I got back up. Put my hands up in victory and brushed off the sand. Which unfortunately got everywhere!
