The flowers we thought had died...

...are ALIVE!!!

A little bit of history. Michael & N bought me a flowering plant because they wanted me to have flowers that lasted for more than a few days. Very sweet idea, however, I felt bad because I knew I probably would have killed the plant in the length of time it takes cut flowers to die.

Sure enough a few days later, Michael remarked that it looked as though the plant was dying. I gave it some water with the slim hope of keeping it alive a few more days. After a few rounds of that, the plant looked as though it was truly dead. In a last attempt to save the plant, I stuck it in the ground right out our back door. Throughout the summer, the plant was mowed along with the grass and other weeds. Much to my surprise, I called the girls to come inside one day recently and looked down to see this...
