In which I cry...

again.

Jessie was able to be reached and gave consent for Cathy to be removed from life support. Cathy died sometime yesterday. (Saturday) Jenny was in church this morning and seemed okay. She did mention to me that she wants to make a scrapbook so she can remember all the things that God has done throughout the past few days. I know she is hurting, but she is also seeing how God continues to work.

Ken, one of Michael's friends & who trained as a chaplain at the hospital Cathy was taken to, preached this morning. The message came from 1 Thess. 4:13-18. While we grieve, we do not grieve as those who have no hope.

Miss Patsy, who loved our children and watched them grow under her care in the nursery, died on April 2nd. Cathy, my friend who struggled with many things, died on April 10th. And Miss Riki, the lady we helped raise funds for a lung transplant, also died on April 10th. (see posts here and here.)

Yet, we have the hope that we will see each of these precious ladies again. The amazing ways that God has shown His great love for us over the past few days have been simply breathtaking. As I told Jenny this morning, if only we could, would, see the ways God works during our every day lives, instead of just being amazed during times of great joy or sorrow.

I am so sorry to hear about your friends. Praying for you and thanks for sharing 1 Thess 4.

Do you need some scrapbook supplies for Jenny? I can send some papers, stickers etc. I have some at home.
