The MOST dangerous.....

.....chocolate cake in the world!

A friend of mine who lives in Australia posted this recipe on a community forum we are both a part of. And this is word for word straight from my friend Kat!

5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

1 Coffee Mug
4 tablespoons flour(that's plain flour, not self-rising)
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
some nuts (optional)
Small splash of vanilla

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well . Add the egg and mix thoroughly.Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla, and mix again.

Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes on high.

The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!

Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired. EAT!

(this can serve 2 if you want to share!)

And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world?Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any timeof the day or night!

(and it adapts really well - we made it with spelt flour - we made it with a mix of gluten free flours - we are in TROUBLE!)

*****Tonight I sprinkled a bit of powdered sugar on top for the girls & went with the leftover buttercream icing for mine. YUM!********

Your right this is dangerous. There is nothing in that recipe that is not on our diet as long as we use the gluten free flour refered to. I'm definately going to try it. I'll use Almond Milk.

I'll agree with Laura on this one. You ARE evil! At least I'm not a big chocolate cake fan, so I wouldn't make it too often. I will have to try it, though.

Now I can state for a fact that this is aptly named. It is absolutely delicious. It was fun watching is bake in the microwave. I thought I would end up with a mess but although it does rise above the cup not a bit ended up on the tray. I served it drizzled with a little chocolate wine sauce. Yum. Grandy said I can make it any time I want, the sooner the better.
